vista host file modification prob

hiz, well here it is.

my friend uses windows vista ; and i tried many times to change the host files but it is not possible . he type of user is administrator of course . however when i edit the hosts and try to save it says that i do not have the required access to do so. any ideas on how to solve this problem?

As far As i know u can change hosts in Vista by restarting your pc and pressing every 2 secs the button ''f8'' until u get a board that says u to edit the hosts.thats all i know till now.
